Detsky Mir chain is the leader of the Russian children's goods market. As of 10 January 2017, the Group consists of 480 Detsky Mir stores in 178 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan, and 45 ELC stores. The retail space is 591,000 sq m in the case of Detsky Mir chain and 6,000 sq m in the case of ELC.
The Detsky Mir brand celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2017, and is the most recognisable children's goods retailer across the region.
Today’s Detsky Mir hypermarkets offer about 20-30 thousand different children’s goods, including toys, clothing and footwear, baby goods, stationery, arts and crafts sets, activities goods, car seats and furniture.
The Detsky Mir retail chain operates in the mid-market price segment. The company's target audience is middle-income families, who make up the majority of shopping-centre visitors.
Shares of Detsky Mir Group began trading on the Moscow Exchange in February 2017 under the ticker “DSKY”. The offer price was set at RUB 85 per share. The security has been admitted to trading in Level 1 of the List of Securities Admitted to Trading on Moscow Exchange.
