Sistema_VC participates in Series A funding round for DataSine


Sistema_VC, Sistema’s fund focused on investment in growth-stage tech companies, participated in the Series A funding round for DataSine, an AI-based marketing personalization company, alongside other investors, including Pentech Ventures, Cathay Innovation, Propel Venture Partners and Twin Ventures International. Sistema_VC previously participated in DataSine’s Seed Round in October 2017, where the company raised EUR 1 mln.

DataSine will allocate the USD 5.2 mln raised in the latest round toward the development of the company’s platform and expansion into new markets. Since its launch, the company has developed an impressive client list that includes several large players in the banking arena, such as BNP Paribas, Tinkoff Bank and Hello Bank! Belgium. DataSine hopes to tap telecom and retail sectors in the future.

The company uses machine learning and AI to analyze data generated by users themselves in order to create user profiles. In the finance sector, the algorythm works with user transaction data. In other cases, it analyzes how users interact with certain types of content, such as advertising, e-mails etc.

DataSine is launching Pomegranate, a collaborative personalization platform, in the SME market in March. The platform’s differentiating feature is that it uses AI to show content tailored to personality. The platform will assist marketing professionals in personalizing content clients interact with, including landing pages, e-mails, call-center scripts. One of the goals is to make marketing more time-efficient by saving time on adjusting copy and A/B testing. The platform integrates with email marketing and sales tools, including MailChimp, one of the most powerful tools on the market.
